Advertising and affiliate disclosure
Today: no ads, no affiliate links, no paid placements. Here is how we intend to keep this honest when that changes.

Where things stand right now
MileVerdict currently carries no advertising and no affiliate links. Both are switched off in the site's configuration, not merely unsold. Nobody pays us for a placement, a mention, or a favourable comparison, because there is nothing to pay for yet.
What we intend to do
The plan is to fund the site through display advertising once it has enough original content and traffic to qualify for an advertising program. That is the model: the calculators and guides stay free, and advertising covers the domain and hosting.
Credit-card affiliate links are a possibility later. They are how most points websites make most of their money, and they are also why so many of those sites read like sales material. If we introduce them, it will be after an approved affiliate relationship and a disclosure review - not before.
Rules we are holding ourselves to
These are commitments about how monetisation may appear, not aspirations:
- No advertisement will ever sit between a calculator's inputs and its Calculate button, or inside a result card.
- No advertisement will be styled to resemble a calculator control, or placed so that it reads as the next step in a flow.
- No full-screen interstitials that block a tool you came here to use.
- No page will exist purely to carry advertising.
- If affiliate links are introduced, a conspicuous disclosure will appear before the first such link on any page that carries one.
- Advertising and affiliate revenue will never determine what our calculators say a redemption is worth, or which programs we cover.
Why this matters here specifically
This site tells people whether a redemption is a good deal, and points advice is an industry built substantially on card referral commissions. A recommendation is worth less when the recommender is paid by one of the options.
That is also why we do not recommend specific credit cards based on your circumstances. We are not licensed to give financial advice, and it is exactly the area where an advertising-funded site's incentives diverge most sharply from its readers'.
Independence
MileVerdict and EDW Ventures LLC are independent from the airlines, banks and loyalty programs referenced on this site. Our reference valuations come from AwardWallet, used with attribution, and no commercial relationship exists between us.
When this page changes
This page will be updated before advertising or affiliate links appear, not after. If you are reading it and it still says there is no advertising, and you can see an advertisement, that is a mistake - please tell us.
